The GTA series has always been very cop unfriendly-until this mod came along. BOOM! Access to all police vehicles and all outfits, BOOM! all the cops don't hurt you! BOOM Fine someone 500 dollars for speeding! BOOM! Speed Radar And Police Partner. Ok no more booming.
SAPD:FR is a mod for San Andreas that allows you to become a police officer/swat/FBI/Army etc. and do all the things a cop normally does.
For example: I set up a speed radar in my Modded Tayside Police car and waited for the speeders and the reckless drives and stuff. An old lady, with a cowgirl on the back, goes through the radar on a motorbike. Speed? 80mph, on a city road. The sirens come on and the lights r a flashing and within seconds shes at the side of the road. So i get out ma cruiser and walk up to the imaginary "drivers window" and Tell her why i pulled over. I ask for her ID. Boom. Her name is Edgar Clark [Will explain later] and her license has not been renewed for ten years. Before i can do anything, she drives off into the sunset. I don't get to my car fast enough... another criminal still on the roads.
Pursuits are good too. If you get to your car fast enough, you can call in spike strips backup etc. to bring Edgar to a halt.
Now the techy bit. The mod does not introduce any new models, so graphics is a no-no. However, it does have some pretty nice sound files, and motions. "Ma'am, may i see ya license." How it's scripted, i don't know. The mod is more fun with a few other car mods, like some British police cars mods or flying police cars.
However, flaws are easily found.
Men are sometimes women in the drivers license, and women are sometimes men. Same with age, date of expiration, etc.
Installation is slightly hard. Especially for cracked versions of the .exe, and if you don't know your stuff it can easily get complicated.
Very buggy. It is a individual mod, so you kinda expect some bugs. However, i commonly experienced game crashes, game not rendering when in pursuits, game not rendering at all, police commonly teabag you, and other tiny bugs. (Eg. text flashing)
7.2/10. It's an alright mod. Sic out.
